Case Examples of Our Service

Internet Presence Solutions

MVC has assisted a number of clients, representing a broad swath of business and organizational types, with substantive Internet Presence projects. These projects typically have fundamental ties into the organization's overall marketing strategy (or revamping of marketing initiatives).

While developing, revising or reimagining a client's Internet Presence is often encountered as a component of a larger consultation package, MVC also has clients for whom we have focused solely on designing (or redesigning) Web sites.

Sample Projects

MVC approaches all Web-related projects from a consulting company point of view, with very strong integration into the client's overall business or organizational mission and operational objectives. This approach delivers a superlative end product, and for relatively competitive costs compared to firms which are exclusively Web site design firms. A sampling of our projects includes:

Complex Site Redesign With eCommerce:  An exceptionally successful retailer and book seller, with a broad and devoted following, commissioned MVC to redesign its large site. The prior site (including appearance, navigation and overall structure) had been dictated by an external template system, and had unfortunately become severely dated. MVC created a unique design which modernized site structures, added enhanced information for site visitors, seamlessly incorporated a standing eCommerce system, and importantly, spoke to the store ownership's vision. The project also included restructuring the company's utilization of social media. (We include a link to this site with permission of the client: www.calmjourney.com)

Robust Content-managed Site:  A professional and academic virtual conferences provider in the Chicago area required a site with content management system (CMS) capabilities, and with prominent video content. MVC designed the site within the popular Drupal platform, with a number of intricate member profile, dynamically generated, and eCommerce pages throughout the site. The project also involved updates to the company's logo, and the production of corollary graphics and associated designs for traditional print-piece production. Full Site Redesign:  A professional environmental engineering firm commissioned MVC to execute a redesign of its Web site to align its Internet Presence with company growth and its array of services. MVC implemented visual design elements to more cohesively match the firm's mission; included new, enhanced content; and staged the site for strategic future additions. The project also entailed creating and linking to social media identities, which included the production of an introductory video uploaded to YouTube. Internet Presence/Marketing Redesign:  A long-successful regional exotic animal pet store realized its Web site had fallen out of date, that store ownership and staff did not have proper time to devote to its maintenance, and that the company was not capitalizing on Internet marketing (including the social media arenas). The firm engaged MVC to completely redesign its modest site and to devise and implement a staggered marketing plan. The new site was launched as the first phase of several, which included overlapping developmental strategies for key company operations. High-quality Image & Gallery Creation:  A talented and successful artisan jeweler and silversmith commissioned MVC to design a site to represent the artist's retail gallery, with an emphasis on photographic content. The project required the strong integration of existing brand identity (already established in print and television media), and on-site photography to faithfully depict a large number of key jewelry pieces. The project also included assisting the business with initial social media efforts, and with key issues related to overall business structures. Robust Retail Merchandise Site:  An established, successful retailer commissioned MVC to design the company's Web site, with an emphasis on broad product representation. MVC's design embraced the company's standing divisions of merchandise, and implemented further diversification to assist customers in finding categories of interest to them. The site design also considered future expansion into eCommerce, and features an automated customer/mailing list subsystem to assist in full-featured customer contact and marketing. Specialized On-line Retailer:  As part of a larger business consulting package, professional python snake breeders in the Dallas, Texas area commissioned MVC to design the firm's overall brand identity and its inaugural Web site. The company sought high visual design impact, provisions for eCommerce, and informational assets for customers. The site features a robust threaded discussion forum for the company's customers (and python snake owners at large). Large photogalleries will eventually populate the site as the company produces its specialized line of snakes. (We include a link to this site with permission of the client: www.americanmorphs.com)

Custom Music & Animated Content:  A fashion and makeup designer commissioned MVC to design a Web site which included a highly specialized "1950s retro" style, and an Adobe Flash component with custom music. MVC assisted the client in identifying a song, which resulted in a special original recording produced by MVC. While the designer has retired from this line of work (and the related Internet Presence likewise retired), the site is available for review upon request.
